Jennifer Polak, a 45-year-old mother of two, has been identified as the victim of an alleged murder in Ajax March 30. Two GoFundMe campaigns have been set up to support her two sons.
Two fundraising campaigns have raised around $90,000 to support the children of the victim of an alleged murder in Ajax.
Jennifer Polak, 45, was tragically killed on March 30, and her sons are now without their mother.
According to police, Polak suffered from “obvious signs of trauma” when officers responded to a call in the area of Hillman Drive and Shoal Point Road just after 11 p.m.

Polak was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving measures, say police.
A man arrested at the scene without incident has been identified as Polak’s boyfriend, say police.
“Before this Easter weekend, Jenn was a big part of all our lives, with a beautiful soul, caring heart and sense of humour that touched everyone in her life, especially her sons,” said a statement by the family on a GoFundMe page that has raised nearly $80,000.
“She lived life with an abundance of love to share. We are devastated that she is now gone and struggle to imagine life without her.”

The page was set up by Polak’s aunt, Jean Polak.

She said the family was extending its “deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support shared by so many” since Polak’s death.
The statement said the family’s greatest concern is for the future of her two sons, which prompted the GoFundMe page.
“She was proud, supportive and their beacon of light,” the page said. “They were her world, and she was theirs.”
One other GoFundMe page had been set up previously by Polak’s friends. The newest one thanked the organizers of that page after they “agreed to step back so we could more formally organize the bank account and trust arrangement” to support Polak’s sons.
The funds received from donations will be held in trust and used only for the benefit of the two boys.
The first page had raised just shy of $10,000, and all donations will be transferred in trust to the sons.
